Can I/We come early?
Yes, you can come early. Please note you can visit the local eateries for breakfast and lunch before the retreat starts.

There is Internet inside 482 Walnut, but I encourage you to disconnect for the 24 hours to give yourself some much-needed downtime.

What should I bring?
Your overnight bag, comfortable clothes, jacket for the beach which can get chill at night on the water, walking shoes, maybe your pillow (if you love yours), a book, an open heart, and appetite for a connecting!

Who else will be there?

Do I have to participate if I do not want to?
You have been drawn to this gathering for a reason and although there is no participation required I hope that you are open to exploring your energy, your current barriers, and your future aspirations.

Can I bring something to share?
Sure, you can bring a story, a favorite book, a difficult hurdle you want to overcome and work that into your conversation while we are together or favorite food. I do not plan to ask what people brought but you are welcome you to share it as you see fit throughout the time we are together.

What if I have food allergies?
If you have food allergies, please send an email ASAP. [contact at techsavvywomen dot net]

What if I do not like the activities or conversation?
You are always welcome to take a walk, explore, or even go back to your room. This is a time for you to rejuvenate and if you feel that stepping away is best for you, please listen to your inner voice.

What should I pack?
I would suggest that you watch the weather and pack appropriately. I plan to pack pajamas, socks, sweaters for the evening and then outdoor clothes with layers for the day as the beach can get chilly.

Will my phone work?
Your phone should work as all our guests to date have had no reception problems.

How should I prepare for the retreat?
Minimal preparation is needed. I am more interested that you drive into Linwood with an open mind and loving heart with an interest to connect and have fun.

What is Linwood Park?
Linwood Park is located in Vermilion, OH. Vermilion is a major small boat harbor on the south coast of Lake Erie. The Linwood Park Company was formed in 1883, by a group of Germans inspired by the Methodist Sunday School Assembly at Chautauqua, New York. Once a part of the Connecticut territory and located in the Firelands, many of the early settlers were from New England. The New England charm is found throughout the city. Sea captains built many of the homes in the historic district and Vermilion was known for the quality of the schooners built on the banks of the river. Today it boasts several marinas, some of the best Restaurants on Lake Erie, and it is close to both Cleveland and Cedar Point.
